What are HxDF tools?
HxDF tools are free web tools that hand over a piece of capability directly, with no account, no fee, and no obligation to work with HxDF. Twelve are planned. The first two being built are the Family Digital Charter Builder and the Nonprofit Capacity Self-Audit. None is available yet, and each one below carries its real status.

Built first
Two tools, before the other ten.
Build order is a claim about priority. These two come first because one meets a household need that the evidence says is going unmet, and the other lets an organization diagnose itself without waiting for HxDF.

Walks a household through the decisions behind a technology agreement and produces a charter in the family's own words.

The tool is being built. The guide it is based on is published today and takes a household through the same conversation in words.
Not monitoring software, not a parental control app, and not a set of rules HxDF thinks your family should follow. The decisions are yours; the tool structures the conversation.

Being built now, second after the Family Digital Charter Builder. The Organizational Capacity Audit covers the same ground with a person, and requests for that are open.
Not a maturity score, not a benchmark against other organizations, and not a lead capture form dressed as a diagnostic. Finishing it does not enroll you in anything.

Questions
Before you spend time here.
Do I need an account?
No. The tools are designed to run in a browser without an account, and where a tool produces something, that output is yours to keep. Sharing anything with HxDF is a separate, explicit choice.
Do I have to work with HxDF to use them?
No. That is the whole design. A tool that only makes sense as a lead capture form is not a tool, and none of these are built that way.
Which ones can I use right now?
None of them yet. Two are being built now: the Family Digital Charter Builder and the Nonprofit Capacity Self-Audit. The rest are proposed or future concepts. A tool is marked active only when a person can open it and use it, and nothing here has reached that point. In the meantime the published guides cover some of the same ground in words.
What do the tools do with my data?
Each tool page states its own data handling before you start. The shared rule is that a tool asks for as little as it needs, keeps what you make with you, and never requires a child account.
Is the AI Tool Finder sponsored?
No. HxDF takes no compensation from any tool it lists, uses no affiliate links, and lists no tool it has not examined. Limitations appear in the same view as strengths, which is usually the difference between a reference and an advertisement.
